Animaking is an animation studio with a history that began in 2001. During its early years, the studio grew through advertising, creating opportunities to develop animation across a variety of styles. Over time, the studio specialized in techniques such as stop-motion animation. This specialization allowed Animaking to elevate its production quality to an internationally competitive level. During this period, the short film "Minhocas – A Lenda" was produced, winning over 10 awards worldwide.
As the studio naturally evolved in its project development, it reached a level of growth and capacity where producing a feature film became the next logical step. This led to the production of the movie "Minhocas", released in 2013 in Brazil and later in 2015 across Europe, Asia, and the United States. The film was a co-production between Animaking, Glaz Entertainment, Globo Filmes, and 20th Century Fox.
Since then, Animaking has continued to expand its horizons, exploring new techniques and storytelling approaches while maintaining a steadfast commitment to excellence and innovation. With a solid foundation built over the years, the studio stands out in the animation industry, ready to take on new challenges and achieve even greater recognition.
With a complete team of professionals from various fields of animation, Animaking represents a distinct Brazilian approach to filmmaking. Our headquarters are located in Sapiens Parque, a technology park in Florianópolis (SC) dedicated to fostering the development of economic sectors linked to technology, science, and innovation in Santa Catarina. Over the years, the need to develop technology for animation has become a critical requirement. To undertake large-scale projects in Brazil, the studio has made the continuous creation and assimilation of animation technologies its guiding principle.
We employ various advanced technologies in our productions. Among them is motion control, which allows the composition of real images with multiple overlapping generations and precise camera movements, achieving a high level of realism in scenes. Additionally, the studio extensively uses prototyping technologies, enabling artists and producers to develop everything from virtual modeling to the creation of physical objects, streamlining the creative and production processes.
A key component of Animaking's technological infrastructure is its proprietary animation software, “Animaction”. This internally developed software optimizes the production of animations quickly and cost-effectively, particularly for the growing demand from online platforms. With “Animaction,” the studio efficiently produces a wide range of content, including short and feature-length films, series, and advertising projects, all while maintaining a high standard of quality and creativity.
